The Back Parts

NUMBERS 22:5-6

5   He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me: (Notice how that we are also a people that have come out of Egypt in a third exodus (Denomination is spiritual Egypt in this hour), and we also a people that cover the face of the earth)

6   Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land (Our land in this day is the word promised for this hour that has been restored to us – we have been called out of every denomination by an exodus prophet back to the promised word just as Israel has been called out of every nation back to their promised land): for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.

This king (Balak) wanted Balaam (a genuine prophet of God) to put a curse on the people of God at the very time when they are coming into their land of promise in order to drive them out of the land that God had promised them.

Satan will do everything to try to stop you from possessing what God has promised you.

NUMBERS 22:41

41   And it came to pass on the morrow, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him up into the high places of Baal, that thence he might see the utmost part of the people (this term “utmost part” means like the back part, or the extreme of one end – in other words, if you were only to see the worst part of someone then you would feel justified in putting a curse on them. Some people only want to show you the utmost part or the back part of the message world and message people because we have also had plenty of faults that if you focus on all the fault then you may also want to curse the bride of this hour – there are even some websites dedicated to this purpose).

NUMBERS 23:20-21 (Balaam speaking)

20   Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

21  He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them. (The shout of the king which is the message of the hour is among the bride of this hour also)

The Back Parts

**What we are meaning with this subject of the “Back Parts” is the parts or the areas of people’s lives that are the dark things of our mistakes and failures and sins just as Israel had plenty of mistakes and failures and sins that occurred in their history - these are the back parts of the things that we would all rather not know about but unfortunately make up our history.

*And this is what makes the scriptures so amazing is because you wouldn’t want to tell those dark things of your own history if you were to write it yourself, but the bible tells us those things that are the back parts of people’s lives so that we can all identify ourselves with the mistakes and the failings of the people in the bible.

*Noah had his back parts – he was a drunkard.

*Moses had his back parts – he struggled to control his temper.

*Jacob had his back parts – he was a shyster, he was a deceiver – he stole his brother’s birth right, he lied to his daddy, he ripped his father in law off.

*King David had his back parts also – he was an adulterer, then a murderer.

On and on we could go with virtually every character of the bible.

THE.PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE_ JEFF.IN ROJC 229-285 WEDNESDAY_ 60-1207

233   …But now notice, he said, "Just look at the back parts, the back, the worse part of it."

Balaam said, "Yeah, I'll just look at the back part, that bad part what they do. That's what I'll do; I'll just look at their--their orneriness, their no-good." Because if he was looking at the no-good, they wasn't. That's right. They'd done every sin on the calendar. But what he failed to see, he failed to see that smitten Rock, that Brass Serpent, that joy of the King among them: healing, signs, wonders, and that Pillar of Fire hanging over them.

That blinded prophet couldn't see it. No, sir. But he was showing the dirty part of them, "Well, I know one that run away with another man's wife. I--I know this; he stole some money." That's right. That's right. I'll admit that; but they got the same thing over there, but they didn't say nothing about it. See? So he just show him the worse part.

But He said, God said, "You just say what I say." And Balaam got into the Spirit, fell into a trance; and instead of cursing Israel, he blessed it. Amen. There he was.

E-44   Now, I want you to watch the trickery of the devil. Moab said--or Balak said to Balaam, "Come back up here on this side now, and I'll show you." Watch. He showed him the utmost parts of the people, the worst part, just their hinder parts, it said, of Israel. He didn't show him the overall picture; he just showed him the back part of it: the worst part, the little camp, the stragglings that was come along, the poorer sheep and the goats. He just showed him the utmost parts.

So this is actually a trick of the devil that Balak used with Balaam, and this is a trick that the devil will try to use with us also and does use with us. Many message believers have walked away from the truth of the message not because they have a problem with the doctrine, but they’ll see some message preacher or someone do something bad and then that’s all they can see and then they’ll separate themselves from the message world and feel justified in their hearts for doing so.

***This can also apply to you personally because the devil will cause you to look at yourself of your personal back parts of where you struggle the most and where you have your most failures. That’s where he will want you to feel like you are worthy of being cursed also, and then he’ll try to get you to put a curse on yourself in the form of self-condemnation, and when you are condemned then you lose your faith and confidence in the promises of the word concerning you, and then you start to lose the victory and your happiness levels go down and the devil robs you of your joy and then you begin to wear a frown.

THE.RESURRECTION.OF.JESUS_ CHICAGO.IL THURSDAY_ 56-0405

E-20   ... God don't want you to be frowning. God wants you to be happy. The human heart was made to be happy. Worry will cause cancer. Temper will cause cancer. Don't never be upset. Just walk in His love. Amen. Knowing that you're walking in Him, and nothing can harm you. There's nothing can harm you. There's neither powers, things present, things future, nothing can separate us from Him. We're in Him. And we never come in by our own will. He, by choice, elected us and brought in to Him. Amen. So it's His business to take care of what He's took Hisself. "No man can pluck them from My Father's hands, 'cause He's the greatest of all of them." Amen. It's the Father Who takes care of it. Who's got any more power than God? So what kind of a power have you got over you to take [care] of you? The whole powers that created the universes. Amen. That took the solar system and blew like that and every star went to its place. Sure. And He watches over you. Amen. That's the kind of a Father we have.

**The word “Omnipotence” means - all powerful, unlimited power, total power and control over all things past, present, and future.

This word “Omnipotent” comes from the Latin words for total (omni) and power (potent), Omni-potent. So there is no power that is above God’s power, so how can anything harm you, how can anything curse you when God is for you.

As John Peterson wrote:

My Father is omnipotent, and that you can´t deny;

A God of might and miracles, ´tis written in the sky.

It took a miracle to put the stars in place;

It took a miracle to hang the world in space.

But when he saved my soul,

Cleansed and made me whole,

It took a miracle of love and grace.

NUMBERS 23:8

8   How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?

NUMBERS 23:19-21

19   God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

20   Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

21   He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel (You could almost think that it seemed like God was lying because Jacob was a shyster, he was a deceiver, he stole his brother’s birth right, he lied to his daddy, he ripped off his father in law – yet God saw no perverseness in him – this is what we have just read, so how can this be? How can God see no iniquity or perverseness in the bride of this day – the answer is largely in the next line).

: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

DEUTERONOMY 23:5

5   Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.

It was God’s love that took our sins upon Himself and became our brass serpent and our smitten rock)

ISRAEL.AND.THE.CHURCH.5_ JEFF.IN IC 129-147 SUNDAY_ 53-0329

63   Now, when they left, Moses dying, they started on towards the promised land. Have to hurry now, 'cause we haven't got too much time.

But they started towards the promised land, who come in their way? But one day there was an old king got awful excited about this bunch of Hebrews coming through there. And they knowed that God was with them. So he went over and got a prophet to come and curse them, by the name of Balak. And old Balaam got a... Balak had a prophet by the name of Balaam. And Balaam straddled a little old mule, after he... God done told him not to go. And, you know, he started down through, riding his mule, with a couple servants. He was going over to curse Israel. "Sure, I'll go take care of that bunch of holy-rollers for you. I'll fix them up." So he got on the mule and away he went, right down through there. The first thing you know...

65   The mule had more spiritual sight than the preacher did. That's right. The mule saw the Holy Ghost standing in the road with a sword drawed. He run out into the field, mashed the old preacher's foot for him. Brother, what we need today's some more mule riding. Don't you believe that? That's right. Yes, there he come. He run out into the field; he saw the Angel of the Lord standing in the way.

And so the next time He... The Holy, Holy Ghost went over in a little narrow strip and stood there again. And then the first thing you know, begin to spur the old mule and trying to get him through, and the mule just laid right down. He started kicking him, and beating him with a stick, and the mule turned around and spoke in human voice, and said, "Haven't I served you well in all these things?" And the prophet still was so mad, never even noticed what the mule was saying. Oh, my.

67   If God can use the tongue of a dumb mule to talk, surely He can use a man or a woman that'll surrender hisself to God. Hallelujah.

And about then, first thing the scales dropped off the preacher's eye, and he looked over there, and he saw what was the matter. There stood the Holy Ghost, or the Angel of the Lord, in the way.

He went on down, and he thought that surely he was going to curse this people. So when he goes down there... We find a good picture of it here in Jude, if we'll just turn over. Listen. When he got down there, he said... Now, watch Balaam. And Balak is going to show Balaam Israel, so he goes and builds his altar. He was a prophet, Balaam was. So he just showed him a part of Israel, just the worst part.

70   And that's just exactly the way the devil does today, he just shows you the worst part of the thing. That's what the devil shows some of these modern preachers of theology, just say, "Now, look here, you know John Doe that used to live over here, he run off with So-and-so's wife. There ain't nothing to that bunch of holy-rollers." He didn't think about some in his own organization did the same thing. That's right. But they can cover it up.

71   But listen, he showed him just so much of Israel, then he took him back and showed him so much here. But when he come to a place... And Balaam, he thought, "Surely if Israel had done wrong..." They did do wrong. They'd done everything in God's calendar, wrong, nearly. But what, and Balaam thought that a holy God would surely curse a people that had done that much wrong. He thought, "Surely God will do it." So when he got down there, he was so money crazy until he couldn't see what the reason that God wasn't cursing them. And every time he'd try to curse them, he would bless them. He'd throw out his prophecy like that, and go forth and take up his mantle and his parable; and instead of cursing, it would be a blessing fall back to them, "How righteous are thy tents, O Israel," how great they was. Instead of cursing, it was a blessing.

72   What Balaam failed to see, is what the modern preachers and modern people fail to see in the Holy Ghost church today. They say, "I know a lot of them call themselves this, that, and the other, and a lot of things they've done." I'll admit that, brother. They say, "They blow up with this, and they've done that, and done this." That's true; I'll admit that they've done wrong.

But where Balaam failed to see that Brazen Serpent and that smitten Rock going before Israel making atonement. (That is what we fail to see in our own personal lives and in the lives of our fellow believers, is the blood of Christ, the smitten rock that took all our back parts and bore them upon himself and was smitten on our behalf) It was God's calling, God's election. They were God's people. Hallelujah. God had called them and separated them, and put a Serpent before them (as an atonement) and a smitten Rock, and Balaam failed to see that. In this day the modern preacher fails to see the power of the Holy Ghost, the smitten Jesus Christ, that we're in His Body; by one Spirit are we all baptized into one Body and become members of that Body. And that's what the modern man failed to see in there. Before that Holy Ghost church moving on, they fail to see that, that smitten Rock, that Brazen Serpent going before the church, making an atonement. Balaam failed to see It.

*So this is something that we want to be more aware of that we don’t want to fall into this trick of the devil in that we begin to see and focus on the back parts of people’s failures and fail to see the smitten rock - Jesus Christ.

ROMANS 7:20 - ROMANS 8:2

20   Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

21   I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

22   For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

23   But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

24   O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

25   I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

ROMANS 8:1

1     ¶ There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2   For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

***The spirit of the word within us has made us free from the law of sin and death because our righteousness does not depend upon our good behaviour, it depends on our revelation of the word and our faith in that word. So if we have been freed from the law of sin, then how can sin condemn us when Christ has freed us from the law of it - it cannot condemn us because we have been freed from it by the spirit of Christ that has come into us by the revelation of the truth of the word of this hour.

THE.SEED.IS.NOT.HEIR.WITH.THE.SHUCK_ JEFF.IN V-6 N-4 THURSDAY_ 65-0218

65   There is no Judgment to the royal, spiritual, predestinated Seed of Abraham, for they are predestinated to Eternal Life. They have accepted God's provided Sacrifice; and that Sacrifice, which was Christ, the Word.

"And there is therefore now no condemnation." Saint John 5:24, if you want the Scripture. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus," Romans 8:1, "walk not after the flesh, but the Spirit," in Romans. 5:24, "He that heareth My Word," the word there is, "understandeth." Any drunkard, anything else, can hear It and walk away. "But he that heareth My Word, understandeth My Word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting Life, and shall not come into the Judgment; but is passed from death unto Life." Yes, sir.

He that this great mystery of the God made known, understands, how that God was in Christ reconciling Himself to the world, how that He and the Father were One, how that the great mysteries of the fulfilling of God taking and bringing Hisself, manifested in the age of human beings, and in the stream of human beings, and in the company of human beings; to make His Word manifested in the day, in the eastern rising of the sun, and to do the same thing as the sun sets in the west, to make Hisself manifested in a Bride Church, the Word made manifest. See? It will, too. "He that understandeth," that is, "to know, that's been revealed to him, of Him that sent Me, has everlasting Life, and will not come into the Judgment; but is passed from death unto Life."

JOHN 8:2-12

2   And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

3   And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

4   They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. (They were showing him her sin, her bad part, the extreme of her sin so that he would feel justified to condemn and to curse her – this is the spirit of Balak again)

5   Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? (They were sure they had him trapped on this one – oh how they thought they had him cornered)

6   This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. (Sometimes the answers have to come at a deeper level – many times the answer is not as simple as a yes or a no, it takes the wisdom of God to reveal it and apply it to the situation because it may be yes under this certain condition, but no if it is under this certain condition.)

7   So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

(In other words – “which of you haven’t got back parts of sins that are also worthy of condemnation - maybe you would have others cast stones at you if your sin was also made public as this woman’s sin is being made public now!” They were showing Jesus the extreme uttermost part of her sin but not considering their own back parts)

8   And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

9   And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10   When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11   She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. (I see no fault in thee – Jesus was looking at the smitten rock, the light of life, he looked beyond her fault and saw her need. I am so glad that he is the same yesterday, today, and forever because that is how he sees us also. He said of her to go and sin no more – he knew of her sin, but he looked beyond her sin, and even if she had failed and sinned again, the smitten rock was still effective - Jesus blood shall never lose its power)

12     ¶ Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

**We are following Him who is the word in this hour – he promised us that we shall have the light of life. The truth that has been revealed to us in this hour is the light of life that has come to us.

Don’t fall into the trap of the devil trying to show you all the back parts and trying to get you to speak curses on the people of God – we want to see the good things of the promises to bride of this hour, we want to be like God and see no iniquity in Jacob, and no perverseness in Israel, we want to say nice things about people – may God help us.
