"Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me". These words to an old hymn can still be a request for all of us now. I go to many camps and comventions and have visited many of your churches. I can say that you all are the most beautiful women in the world. Not just on the outside, but the glory of God shines out from a Godly character. That lets me know that you have absorbed a lot of God's Word. How wonderful it is to see. How truly beautiful it is!
Now, to begin our discussion, we know that every woman's desire is to be loved. When others love us for our character, that's true beauty. That's when we know that our beauty is not only on display before the eyes of God, but before the eyes of everyone around us. What a gift!
The world has it so confused. Some of the world's so-called "beautiful women" have relied on make-up and outward attractiveness to display beauty for money of the praise of men. When we look at the lives of people such as Marilyn Monroe, we find that mindset can only end in shame and disgrace. To face an eternity without a hope...that can't be beauty! What a waste! It makes me sad, but it must break the very heart of God.
Let me ask you a question...When you are getting dressed to go out for the day or to go to church, who do you think about as you do? Who are you thinking you might please? Are you doing it for God? Some surveys have shown that many woman dress for other women. How weird is that? Bro. Branham said to check your motive. That statement has kept me on track many times. Yes, what we wear and how we wear it does matter. In my opinion, our best accessory as we start our day is a smile!
Instead of trying mascara, try a little prayer. Watch how communion with God can transform any young lady to the most beautiful person.
Here are a few other natural things that will help you in your quest to feel good as well as look good...
Sleep & Rest
This is an area that most of us are failing in. One survey shows that teens and young unmarried woman get less than 6 hours sleep per night. And young married ladies/young mothers get even less. When you have young children it's hard to find a night's sleep. When your body doesn't get enough rest, it uses strength that is supposed to be used to repair and nourish vital organs like the heart, lungs, kidney, etc. Lack of sleep also affects skin and hair and can cause dry skin and blemishes . Feeling tired and lazy is not very attractive. Neither is being in a poor mood. You can hardly smile and be happy and pleasant when you are exhausted. Try getting at least eight hours of sleep each night.
Food
We all expect to fall inlove, marry and have healthy, happy babies. But all too often now I am seeing premature babies...thin and very unhealthy. Why? It is not always the case, but many times it is because their mothers live on pop (soda if your from the south), potato chips, pizza and fast food as a teen and young wife. Never eating fruit or raw veggies of any kind. Remember, you are what you eat (naturally and spiritually). What you sow today, you will reap tomorrow.
Fresh Air & Exercise
Get out! Many of us work hard at what we do all day, but fail to take a brisk walk or bike ride and breathe real air. We need to get our blood flowing! That's definitely a way have a healthy, rosy countenance. I have some health problems today as a result of not getting enough exercise. You will feel better and have a better mood if you try this.
Purpose
I've saved the best for last. I feel this is very important! Everyone, whether nine or ninety years old, MUST have a reason to get up in the morining... Something that God has given you to do in this life on earth. You may say, "I don't have a purpose." Bloom where you are planted! Look around you for a moment. Something or someone needs your attention. It may seem a small thing, but God will see it and bless it. Phone someone and encourage him or her. Check on an elderly person. Help a young mother with her small children. Mow a sick person's lawn. Give of yourself, your time and your talents to others. There's a peace and happiness inside you that will shine out, knowing that you've been a help to someone.
Maybe you need to prepare for the future. Take a class. Go back to school. Learn to sew or cook. Learn to play a musical instrument. God has something very special foryou to do. Prepare to be the best you can be at it!
There is always something for you to do no matter who you are. I remember my Aunt Lona, at the age of 85 in a nursing home in Paragould, Arkansas. She would get up early, get dressed and in her wheel chair would visit many people in her own nursing home. Her cheerful smile and sunny disposition brought joy to face after face each day. I would visit her and she would cheer me up and make me laugh, So you see, anyone in any situation can be a blessing and help to others.

...Now, what must we do? Now, the first thing I want to say is: Jesus never lived for Himself. His Life was spent for others. That's perfectly Eternal life. When you say you go to church and you do good things, that's fine. But when you live your life to yourself, you haven't Eternal Life. Eternal life is living for others...
I love you girls and I want you to remember that God is what makes you stand out. Let Him be the center of your life and know what it is to be loved, accepted and beautiful.
God Bless you!
