The Evidence of the Oil in the Lamp
Picking up from last time…
We know that we are in the flying eagle age where our anointing from God is to fly high like an eagle – “come up higher John and I will show you things that will come to pass in the future” – Revelation 4:1. And we also found out that this is also connected to the eyesalve which is the teaching of the word for this age that we are to apply to our understanding so that we will be able to see clearly in this age.

346-2 {87} …The Church goes up in the 4th chapter of Revelation, and does not return until it comes back with its King in the 19th chapter. But these Seals here are revealing what has been, what is, and what will be. See?
***So from Revelation 4 to Revelation 19 is a revelation of the future being revealed to the bride right now at this time because she has been caught up higher in an eagle prophet age anointing.
**So then in this parable of the wise and foolish virgins of Matthew 25, it is also showing us what will take place under the conditions of this age concerning the people that are associated with the message of the hour.
MATTHEW 25:6-10
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. (We know that that cry was the message of this hour that was sounded to call the bride to the marriage. The marriage is when the bride unites and becomes one with the revealed word of this age which is Christ himself – you become one with the word by receiving the word)
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. (Lamps are to do with being able to see in a dark hour, and lamps also refer to the spirit of man, PROVERBS 20:27 ¶ The spirit of man is the candle (lamp) of the LORD, and we know that the spirit of man consists of Memory, Imagination, Conscience, Reasoning, and Affection – so your lamp is your spirit – your mind, where you have comprehension, so the oil of the Holy Spirit that would cause their human minds to be illuminated by the revelation of the word had run out for five of these ten virgins)
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you (Oil is the Holy Spirit, and so the scripture is showing us that even these wise virgins did not have an oversupply of the Holy Ghost – they only just had enough revelation of the word for themselves to be able to “see” their way in the darkness of that midnight hour): but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
**Just like it was in Noah’s day – Noah and his group were in the ark at the time when the door was shut by God. What made the difference between Noah and the rest of the world? It was that Noah and his group had something revealed to them in their day that the rest of the world was blinded to – the difference was that they had anointed their spiritual eye sight of understanding by the message that God had sent through a prophet that God sent them to enlighten their understanding to be able to see in the darkness and confusion of that time.
I CORINTHIANS 2:9-12
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. (So you must have the spirit of God (the oil) in order to be able to understand the things of God)
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. (The message of this hour has been freely given to us, but we will never understand it correctly without the spirit of God within us to make it clear to our understanding).

180 … a man can't see God until he's borned again. "See" doesn't mean... You don't see with your eyes; you look with your eyes. "See" is to "understand." You looked right at It, and say, "I don't see it," you mean you don't understand it. You'll never know what we're talking about until you're born again.

201 And Your Word said, "Except a man be born again, he cannot even see the Kingdom of God." In other words, he cannot understand it. He must accept it by faith, and be born again, and then he will understand it. See is to "understand."
JOHN 14:16-18
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (The spirit of truth is the spirit of God that would come into you so that you will be able to understand the word for your day – The Oil in the vessel is the Holy Spirit that causes you to “see” the word for your age)
18 ¶ I will not leave you comfortless (remember that it is the word that brings comfort to us): I will come to you.
JOHN 16:12-13
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth (The spirit of truth that is in you will guide your mind to the correct understanding of the word by the messenger for your age. He will also guide your life experiences to cause you to understand things to bring you into a deeper knowledge of himself – so it is often experiences of life combined together with the word is how we grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord): for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
I JOHN 4:4-6
4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
**The evidence according to John was being able to hear the word of truth that they were speaking for that day – in other words the evidence of a person with the spirit of God in the were able to hear and understand the correct interpretation of the word.
*For years (especially after the denominational Pentecostal movement), multitudes of people thought that the evidence of the indwelling Holy Spirit was speaking in tongues or some fleshly manifestation of emotion or some spiritual experience of God where we felt His presence so real and so strong, but when the seals opened and the real truth of it came out, then we found out that the evidence of the indwelling spirit of God wasn’t any of that at all - all those things are good and can certainly be an evidence of the genuine Holy Spirit rain or anointing falling on the person.
**But in this last age the real mystery of this has been made clear to us. What we all previously called the evidence of the Holy Spirit of a person receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost was in many cases just the anointing of the Holy Ghost falling on their spirit like the rain that falls on both the just and the unjust.
***So under this message, the terminology of what we previously called receiving the Holy Spirit is not the same as what it means now, because in this age God has taken it up to a higher level to mean the literal life of God dwelling within the person. It is when the seed of God in you is quicken by the Holy Ghost, and the evidence of that will be that He will guide you into the truth for your age so that you will be found in the word for your age.

If you are truly filled with the Spirit of God you will have the evidence of the WORD in your life.
*** Throughout the services of the opening of the seven seals, almost every time brother Branham came to the pulpit he begins to tell us that the truth of the word was revealed to him altogether different to how he had previously understood it by his old traditional understanding.

178-4 {11} And now, tonight we are studying this Second Seal. And e... For the first four Seals there is four horse riders. And I tell you today something happened again, and I--I... And I thought, "Well, I'll read a little while, and look over and see this and that," and the first thing you know, something just happens, and it's altogether different. It just comes in different. Then I grab me a pencil right quick and start writing down just as fast as I can while He's there.
***So as these 7 seals continued to open during the rest of 1963,’64,’65, we see the same pattern happening in that the understanding of things that we thought were so right, many things were actually not right in the way we understood them before, and so in order for us to “see” the truth of the word correctly, we would have to apply the eyesalve of the teaching of the message in order for us to understand and “see” the word correctly.
Christ is still in the business of opening the blinded eyes today.

**So after the seals opened in 1963, we will see this same pattern of our understanding of the word being completely changed around as the sermons of the prophet continue to be preached to us and all the mysteries of God continue to be made known to us by the ministry of the message of the hour. And so this also directly applies with this subject of the evidence of the Holy Ghost.

101 Hadn't had it through the age. See that perfect continuity of the Scripture? Here we live in it. The mysteries; even of the baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and away from the Oneness idea; and these other things, how the Holy Spirit has moved that in and showed it perfectly; and the true Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Notice that he is calling the true Baptism of the Holy Spirit - one of the mysteries that would be made know in this last age), the Token, and everything, and placed it; and how He placed every reformer and everything, just exactly. And, see, right before our own eyes, and it's not in a corner. It's world-known. Jesus, the Son of God, revealing Himself by the Scriptures, making that Scripture that has been predestinated to this day, like it was to that day and all other days, live. And, to believe It, is the evidence of the Holy Spirit.
That is exactly what Saint John said in I JOHN 4:6 “he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error”.
***If we read these next quotes in date order you will see how these things opened to him because you will never hear him talking like this in relation to the evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost up to this time, because this is one of the “game changers” of our understanding concerning this subject that the Holy Spirit opened to Brother Branham regarding the true evidence of the Holy Ghost in a person’s life.

66 Today I was talking with my good friend, Doctor Lee Vayle, who is present now. And he's quite a theologian, and so we usually have some--have some pretty good discussions on the Scripture. Very smart.
And he asked me one time what I thought about the initial evidence of the Holy Ghost, "Was it speaking in tongues?" It's been many years ago.
I said, "No; can't see that."
He said, "Neither do I," said, "though I've been taught that." He said, "What would you think would be an evidence?"
67 I said, "The most perfect evidence I can think of is love." And so we got to talking on that.
And then I thought that sounded pretty good so I just held that, "If a man has got love."
But one day the Lord, in a vision, straightened me out. And He said, that, "The evidence of the Spirit was those who could receive the Word," neither love, nor speaking in tongues, but it's receiving the Word.
68 And then Doctor Vayle was saying to me, that, "That is Scriptural," he said, "because, in John 14, Jesus said, 'When He the Holy Ghost is come upon you, He will reveal these things to you, that I've taught you, and will show you things to come.'"
So there is the genuine evidence of the Holy Ghost! He has never told me anything wrong yet. That, "It is the evidence of the Holy Ghost, is he who can believe the Word." You can receive It.
Cause, Jesus never said, "When the Holy Ghost is come, you'll speak with tongues." He never said, the Holy Ghost come, you'd do any of those things. But He said, "He will take these things of Mine and show them to you, and will show you things that is to come." So there is the genuine evidence of the Holy Ghost, according to Jesus Himself.

**So to have a clear understanding of the revealed word of this hour is the true evidence of the indwelling Holy Spirit – that’s thus saith a prophet of God.

The elect of this hour can understand the word when the denominational world would remain in confusion – the lamp of the illumination of their minds and thoughts will be filled with a clear revelation of the word of this hour.
