A Disobedient and Gainsaying People
II PETER 3:1-5
1 ¶ This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: (We need to keep stirring our minds by way of remembrance of the things that we have been taught in this hour also)
2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
3 ¶ Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, (The first thing is the scoffers – we are to know that that is the first thing that we can take note of as a witness that we are closing in for the final stages of the rapturing of the bride)
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? (Notice that they are of question and doubt as to the second coming of the Lord in this hour) for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of (They have the intelligence to learn the things of God, but they don’t want to learn about the word and the coming of Christ in this hour), that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
ROMANS 10:20-21
20 But Esaias is very bold (Esaias is the prophet Isaiah), and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. (That is the gentiles that received the message of that hour gladly after that the Jews as a nation had rejected the message of Christ for their day)
21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
So at the time of when the Old Testament scriptures was to come to much of its fulfilment in the one body of the Lord Jesus, that was also the time when the people surrounding this event were referred to as a disobedient and gainsaying people, and we see that we have come into the repeat of that again in this day – History is repeating itself again.
A Disobedient and Gainsaying People
Last week we spoke on “Hold Fast till I Come” from REVELATION 2:25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. In each age, the elect for that age were the ones who held fast to the word that had been revealed through the messenger for their day – all the others that followed for a while were shaken off by one thing or another, and that testimony of the elect and the ones who are just follower applies in every age and most certainly applies in this age also – many went out of Egypt under an Exodus prophet, but not all held fast so that many who came out under that prophet’s leadership later on perished in the way of Balaam or the gainsaying of Korah – many things along the way causes people to let go, they don’t hold fast to the truth for their time.

122 Now I want you to notice, He does it that way in every age. He does it every time by the same method, He has to take believers. And then, in order to have believers to meet that Word, He's got to predestinate it to that age. You see it? He's got to predestinate this thing to be there to meet the challenge of the age. Did it get you? Did you feel it? Did you see it? Do you understand it? That's what's happening today, He predestinated it to this, by His foreknowledge. When He predestinated, in Malachi 4, it's got to happen. When He come over and predestinates anything to happen in His Word, He had to prove His Word to be so. When He predestinates anything to happen and says it will happen, He knows that seed will be there just at that time. He predestinated a Bride, She's going to be there! Going to be a Rapture, She's going to be there! He predestinates it by His foreknowledge. See, there's nothing going to stop it.
**As the body of Christ on earth now in bride form in a people of these last days, we need to be watching the scriptures that we are called to bring to fulfilment to in this end time hour to see them fulfilled among us as a bride body – this is a very important part of our walk in this hour.
**Even as an individuals, it is important to watch your own life to see the scriptures and the prophecies for this hour being fulfilled in your own life – you must be able to identify that in your own life because the word of this hour must become your experience in the story of your personal life.
****Rebecca followed a man (Eliezer) of her own free will at evening time to go meet her unseen bridegroom Isaac – that is a prophecy placed in the bible as a shadow for the real event that was to come in this age, because now you and I are living in the real evening time event when the real Eliezer has come with the real camel train of transportation, and so we are following the real Eliezer to meet the real heavenly bridegroom – not a shadow anymore, but the experiences of your life and the experiences as a collective bride body is what has cast all these shadows back down through the bible shadows and types, this bride of this hour is not a type, she is no shadow to nothing – in the volume of the book it is written of her (of you), so you must see that this bible fulfilment of this hour has been a part of your own life’s experience of how that you have been following a man in this hour (the Eliezer of this hour) to meet your unseen bridegroom - Christ.
This is just one of hundreds of scriptures that as the bride of Christ we are to be able to identify in our own personal lives and experiences over all these years that we have been following the truth of this hour, we must be able to say as the prophet told the story of the little boy that saw himself in the mirror for the first time – “mama, that’s me”. And that is what produces rapturing faith in this hour, is when the bride fully sees her life reflected in the entire book of the word – in the volume of the book (from Genesis to Revelation) it is written of the end time bride of this hour.
**As an individual, God predestinated your life for this hour just the same as he predestinated William Branham’s life for this hour. When he was born into this age he was predestinated to a certain portion of the word. And the proof of that is that the scriptures will identify your life of how you respond to the truth for your age, and then you come to a place and a maturity in this channel of prophecy pertaining to this hour in that you are watching for that word to continue to be fulfilled in your life as you walk along.
This is how Jesus was watching the word unfold in his life, this is how he walked – by understanding the word and prophecy of the bible of who he knew that he was for that hour, and he was watching that word to come to pass in the experiences of his life.
Look at some examples of this…
PSALM 22:15-18 (Old Testament)
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture
All these scriptures were fulfilled in the life and body of Jesus Christ in just the last few hours just before his death, burial and resurrection.
PSALM 69:20-21
20 Reproach hath broken my heart (This word reproach is “scorn, taunting, mocking” – We also know that in the last days mockers are also prophesied to come against the people of the elect of God for this hour when the word for this season is being interpreted in the flesh of the bride body); and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. (All men had forsaken Christ as he hung on the cross – his disciples had all fled, the woman of the group were powerless to do anything – even the spirit of God had left him so that he died like a man, completely alone and totally forsaken)
21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
We want to notice carefully how these above scriptures were fulfilled in real time.
These Old Testament scriptures had been read over and over and memorised by literally thousands of people for hundreds and hundreds of year’s right up to their very point of fulfilment, but when it came to their actual fulfilment, there was only one person who actually knew the simplicity of the true fulfilment of the word when it was happening in real time events.
***And as the bride of Christ we are also to know the scriptures concerning the things prophesied for our time to be fulfilled as a part of the experiences of our lives.
We know that we must also endure a rejection of the people of the world, and that there must come the gainsayers, and as the scriptures say that scoffers and mocker would arise in the last days – we must watch for these things knowing that they must be a part of our experience. And then there must be a rejection of the word of this hour against the bride body in the form of a persecution, and then what follows that will be the resurrection of the sleeping saints.
All these things are prophesied in the scriptures to take place in this hour, and as the bride of Christ we know that these things are to be a part of our journey in this hour from this world to that new world after this one is burnt with fire, just as Noah had to be rejected by his generation before the flood came and he could leave his world and go to the next one.
JOHN 19:28-30
28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. (See the scripture being fulfilled “my tongue cleaveth to my jaws”)
29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
***We know that the event of Jesus death couldn’t take place until every single scripture of the Old Testament that was prophesied of him was fulfilled.
And we know that he was watching his life to make sure that every single prophecy concerning himself for that hour came to its manifestation in his life – he couldn’t say “it is finished” until every word concerning him was fulfilled. And as the bride of Christ, we are watching every word concerning the bride of this hour, and it won’t be finished until every word concerning the elect of this age has been fulfilled – that is what we are watching in this hour.
***It always amazes me how that with all the attempts on Hitler’s life to assassinate him (more than 18 in total), it was almost like he was invincible, because the scriptures had to be fulfilled in that a third of men died meaning a third of the Jewish population had to die in the holocaust according to the prophecy of the scriptures, and we know that if any of the attempts on Hitler’s life had been successful, then that scripture would not have been completed in its fulfilment. So it is impossible to stop the prophecy of the word from being fulfilled.
**If gainsayers are prophesied to arise against the Exodus prophet of this hour – then someone will have to fulfil that part of the prophecy, but we as the bride need to watch these things.
**Last week we ended with the book of Jude how the prophet told us that there was something deeper in this book that we need to learn about regarding the gainsaying of Korah.

I'm afraid I'll get too deep if I try to get into the Book of Jude here, because it's on the "gainsaying of Korah" and--and "running after the error of Balaam, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah," which probably take us a long time. I want to pray for the sick that's here this morning...
JUDE 1:5-6
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
These people never held fast to the truth of what they had originally been given. They fell from their first estate – your estate is your original domain of the position of what God placed you in the truth for your age.
JUDE 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain (Remember from last week - Cain wanted God to accept his religious sacrifice that was contrary to the revelation for that hour and God rejected it , just as the denominations of this day want God to accept their false forms of worship – and God has rejected it in this day also), and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward (Balaam was hungry for the dollars – the dollars were more important to him than staying true to the word of God – and we know how that ended), and perished in the gainsaying of Core. (Korah was the one who withstood the exodus prophet of that day saying that he and the others were just as good as Moses – God didn’t like that, and we know what happen of how the earth open up and swallowed them all down – you watch people that leave this message because of the gainsaying of Korah in this day – the earth (worldliness) eventually swallows them up.
JUDE 1:17-21
17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
I THESSALONIANS 5:21
21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

61 Now, it is possible that staunch Christians, fine people, hold sometimes, hold to the wrong thing, thinking it is right. But then these things should be proven, whether they are "right" or "wrong." And it's the duty of all of us, as we are expecting to go to Heaven when Jesus comes. And it's the minister's duty, when any question is brought up, that he solves this out, and then proves it before the people, that they might understand, because no one wants to be found "wrong," holding to the wrong thing.
62 So we have a Scripture (and Jesus said, "all Scriptures must be fulfilled") that we should prove all things. And then, "hold fast," or, "hold tight, get a death-grip on it. And don't turn it loose, hold fast to that which is good."
67 Now we see another one, then you, no doubt, have heard them say, "Seeing is believing." That's another old proverb we have here, but that doesn't work either. It doesn't work, 'cause man can sit and look right straight at anything and they'll not see it. The word "see," the English word "see" has so many different meanings to it. Sea might mean "a body of water." And see might mean "to understand." See might mean "to look at it." And, oh, there's just all kinds of words you can use. But when you say, "seeing is believing," you're mistaken.
68 When you understand it, you believe it. Jesus said, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom," in other words, "understand the Kingdom," because the Kingdom is the Holy Spirit in you. So you have to understand what this is in you. And the only way you'll understand it, is compare what it makes you do with what the Bible said it would make you do. Then your problem's solved, see. And, then, He is that Holy Spirit.

E-26 … There was a man one time by the name of Korah. He raised up and said, "Now, wait a minute. There's just as many prophets and holy men as there is Moses. Moses is not the only one."
God said to Moses, "Separate yourself from him." And He opened up the earth and swallowed him in.
The Bible predicts that in the last days that same thing will take place, and they'll perish in the gainsaying of Korah. That's right. That's the Scripture.

See? What is it that did that? Fallen angels.
549 The Bible said it was fallen angels who listened to Lucifer instead of Christ, Who they once belonged to. Is that right? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.]
550 Now listen close, "fallen angels." What kind of angels? Luther, Wesley, Catholic, Pentecostals, who kept not their first estate like the Angels did, and has fell into organization, like Lucifer's main hold at Nicaea. And what have they done? Organized a great ecumenical association of ministers, to make "an image unto the beast," as the Bible said. And building a Christian economy that'll close the doors of this church and others like it. See Lucifer at his work?
551 I'm trying to bring you the threefold revelation, or mystery of God.
552 What did they do? Sold out to reasonings of wisdom and education, like Eve did, fallen angels did. Wesley was a man of God; but what followed him? Fallen angels got into it. What was the angels, first? Creative beings of God, but fell for Lucifer's wisdom, fell for Lucifer--Lucifer's wisdom. And you see what they become? Fallen angels. And organizations, from men of God who has went forth to establish Truths in the earth; before that Truth could go on and proclamate and get on to the real revelation of Christ, fallen angels come in and took it over and made denominations out of it.
553 That's the reason the revelation of the Seven-Seal mystery had to be unfolded.
554 Now you see it? What they left off! If Luther would have went on, it'd have been here. If Wesley would have went on, if Pentecost would have went on, what would they'd done?
555 Now there is only one thing can happen. There has to be a Message at the end time, when there is nothing else can follow It. And now the ecumenical world has set up such a regime that there can be no denomination and no not nothing else follow it; you're either in it or you're not in it. The fruit is in the top of the tree, and the Light is shining on that predestinated fruit. And she is ripening into Christ-like fruit, bringing forth the same mellowness and sweetness, and the same Spirit that He had in Him.
***The same spirit that dwelt in Christ that fulfilled the scriptures pertaining to his life is also to be in us to fulfil the scriptures pertaining to the bride of this hour.
**When we see these mockers and scoffers and disobedient to the word and gainsayers arise in this hour, we know that we are in a season of prophecy that cannot be reversed, and we know our position as in relation to that prophecy and who we are and what part of the word we are call to manifest in this hour and also the promise of the soon coming body change Abraham and Sarah had where they turned back young again.
**I am looking for that – you are looking for that, and that is what God will prove in this hour. He will prove His word truth in this hour by bringing it to pass in your flesh and my flesh.
