Healing of the Mind
PHILIPPIANS 2:3-5
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
REVELATION 3:17
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
We can see the opposite regarding the condition of the mind and thinking in these two portions of scripture.
EPHESIANS 4:22-24
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation (manner of life, conduct, behaviour) the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; (the way to put off something is by putting on something else – it is not so much trying to get rid of something evil in your life, but it is replacing it with something greater which is truth and life)
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; (your mind is renewed and healed of your false understanding of the word when the true revelation and understanding of the word is made clear to you – in other words, you automatically put off your old thinking by replacing your thoughts with the truth of the word, and then that affects your manner of life, your conduct)
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Healing of the Mind
God brings healing in many ways.
**He heals by Love, he heals by prayer, he heals by faith in his promise, he heals by nature, and he heals by kind words of encouragement that someone would say to another person.
Healing is really just a restoration of what was lost to you, in other words, healing brings you back to the original condition of what God intended you to be both in body and spirit.
We know since the fall of mankind from the Garden of Eden, man has endured sickness of both body and mind and soul.
We talk so much of the healing of the body, so much focus is placed on that area, and that was one of the main attractions of the first and second pull of brother Branham’s ministry, it attracted the big crowds – but when we get into the third pull, we find that the focus is not on the healing of the body so much as it is on the healing of the way we think in regards to the revelation of the word.
We know that the pyramid was God’s second bible, and that the rejected capstone of the pyramid represents the mind of Christ coming down and connecting with the rest of the pyramid which is speaking of this age when the body of Christ (the seven church ages of saints) is to unite with the mind and headship of the word to complete the entire body of the second Eve – and that is our part in this age because we are the part of the Body that connects to this great capstone and headship of the word (“They without us cannot be made perfect, or complete”), so we have a very great responsibility in this age.
GENESIS 2:21-23
21 ¶ And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Notice - when God does something the first time, that is always his perfect way that he intends to do it from that time on, because his first decision is always rights, so the woman was meant to come out of the man, but since sin entered into the earth we see that the man has always come out of the woman contrary to God’s original plan - the bride is not supposed to come out of a woman (the Church) but out of the man (Christ Jesus), the word for each age. Each age produced a woman (a bride) for that age, and that woman bride came out of the word (the man) for the age.
So as the first Adam was put to sleep and his side was opened, and God formed Eve from a part of Adam - then he presented her to Adam. And we know by this that God was showing in prefigure how he would put the second Adam (Christ) to sleep at Calvary and open up his side and for 2000 years of 7 Church ages God would make and form the many membered body bride of the second Eve – and that is why we are a part of him in bride for, we are an extension of what he is in feminish form – bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh.
**So the story of the Bible began with a man and a woman in Eden, and the story of the Bible ends with Christ and his Bride in the Millennium – back to Eden again, that is the entire plan of redemption, to restore back that which was lost.
So if we will notice, after Eve was formed, then she was taken to Adam, she came into his presence for the first time (Adam was awake now), and when she was first presented to Adam, she didn’t know who he was, and she didn’t know who she was, but Adam knew all of that, so Adam in his great wisdom that God had given him had to begin to reveal to Eve who He was and who she was, and where she had come from, and were she was going – she had to receive his mind in her by the word that she was receiving from him.
**So this is what is going on now because we have come to this same place again with the second Adam and the second Eve, because the bride of 7 church ages is nearing completion, she is coming to her headstone which is the word, the mind of Christ, and so we are now at the stage where the mind of Christ is being revealed to us by the word of the hour that is coming into us and revealing who we are and where we came from, and why we are here now, and where we are going to.
PHILIPPIANS 2:5
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Mind = Greek word phroneo {fron-eh'-o}
-- be of the same mind
-- be like minded
-- agreed together, cherish the same views, be harmonious

COLOSSIANS 3:1
1 ¶ If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Insanity is a condition and sickness of the mind – but insanity in a person is not always what we would think that it would always look like, like maybe someone who is dribbling at the mouth and gurgling their words in a babbling type of speech, or acting violent and out of control of themselves, that may have been a good sign of an insane person in the past and no doubt would also be today, but the paradox in this age is that a totally insane person can appear extremely normal and intelligent according to the culture and lifestyle of today and yet be totally insane.

17 Now, there is demons that comes into the soul of men, and that is, in the phraseology, that would be--that would be in the... I'd say this though, the demon that comes into the soul is something that torments the soul.
Many times you can see a person maybe of insanity. Now, they may be yet a converted person, filled with the Holy Spirit, and yet be totally insane. See? That's right; that has nothing to do with the soul. It's a tormentor (See?), something that torments them.
There are so many things that bring hurt to the mind and spirit in this age, because we are living at a time when all the sin of this evil age is so constantly around us in a concentrated form, and this is what is causing all the mental problems of this age, and that is why there are almost as many facilities required for the healing of the mind as there are for the body.

203 Now look at the position. Everybody will admit she's in a Sodom condition. I passed over California, here the other day, and got a hold of a magazine, or a paper, read where, "Homosexuals had increased sixty percent, in the last year." See? Oh, my! It's pitiful. See? It's just because women has throwed themselves away. That's right. And just on the street, naked. And it's just--it's just a shame. But the Bible said they'd be that way. And even to men, it's just they're--they're--they're changed. See? And it's going to get worse. In another, another, if the world would stand another fifty years, the whole world would be totally insane. Look at the sanity from forty, from twenty years ago, till this time. See?

190 Look at this teen-age insane! Why, we had a... I told you the other day, they was taking an analysis there of the schools in Arizona where I live, and eighty percent of the children in school is mentally retarded. What will their children be? We can't have another generation. We're at the end. Jesus said these things would come.
191 Look at all the televisions and things getting these fictitious things in order. It'll come a time, I predict, that people will be completely, totally insane, the world will be. The Bible speaks of such hideous sights as they show in movies today of some prehistoric creature's age, that's lived in the earth for so many thousands and millions of years, hatch and come forth to some... That's just a minor thing, to what's going to happen. When hell is opened and the Devil comes out with all of his mysterious things, of women... or locust with hair like women, and teeth like lions. Why, the world will be completely, totally insane. It's not but just about one degree from it now.

Billy Graham is reported to have be converted to Christianity in 1934 in a revival meeting led by evangelist Mordecai Ham in North Carolina, USA whilst hearing this hymn sung at and altar - "Just As I Am, without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me".
Billy Graham went on to use this song in his crusades in the latter half of the twentieth century. He also used the title of the hymn as the title of his 1997 book - Just As I Am: The Autobiography of Billy Graham.
The forth verse of this Hymn reads…
Just as I am - poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need, in Thee to find,

REVELATION 3:17
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Charlotte Elliott no doubt wrote this verse from inspiration from this scripture, and she interprets nakedness as “healing of the mind” because a person who is naked and doesn’t know that they are naked obviously needs healing of the mind - their mind in not in a normal state.
ACTS 19:13-16
13 ¶ Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
Nakedness is a result of the attack of the devil.
LUKE 8:26-27
26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.
27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs…..
This man had been attacked by the devil in his mind, and as a result of this he was naked.
LUKE 8:35
35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. When the devils had departed out of him, and he was back in his right mind again, then we see him clothed.

72 Now, this Methodist woman would not do a thing like that. No, indeedy. She is a decent woman. And another thing, she would not touch a bit of whiskey, because, the Methodist church, ninety percent of their program is prohibition against whiskey, against whiskey. So, they got a prohibition program, and them people of that Methodist church don't live no higher than that church teaches.
73 But this same woman, this Methodist woman, goes out, of a evening, with her husband, wearing shorts on Sunday, after Sunday school. She cuts her hair. She wears lipstick, and even smokes a little.
74 Now, in God's Word, they are both prostitutes, but this one here is "naked, miserable, wretched, blind, and don't know it." One is just as guilty as the other, for, "A man that looks upon a woman, to lust after her, has committed adultery with her already in his heart."
75 And if this woman, now, she would say, "Wait just a minute, Mr. Branham. I'll give you to understand, I am no prostitute." My sister, maybe if you'd be took before a Bible, and put your hands upon It in the Presence of God, and swear an oath that you've been just as true-l, true to your husband as you could be. Your body belongs to your husband, but your soul belongs to God. There is a evil spirit that's anointed you. If that, if you are not, then you're... I can prove that you're totally insane. (Where did those spirits go that caused legion to undress himself? - they are living in the worldly minded woman of this age)
76 What would have happened to your grandmother if she'd have walked out on the street with those shorts on? They'd have put her in the insane institution; she come out without her dress on. There is something wrong with her mind. If it was so then, it's so now.
77 So it throws the whole world into insanity. The whole thing is insane. And it so gradually crept in till the people don't know it.
Amnesia affects the mind in areas of memory loss, and there are many different levels of Amnesia.
In the message “Spiritual Amnesia”, Brother Branham is referring to this problem at a level to where like a shell shocked solder, he has forgotten who he is, he has been so shocked by the horrors of war and bombs landing all around him that it affects his mind - he can’t identify himself anymore, he forgets where he’s come from, and he doesn’t know where he’s going, and that is the condition of many people spiritually in this age, and so they need healing of the mind.

37 Now, this amnesia, we're told it is a--a--a... cause you to be to a place where you cannot identify yourself. Now, it's a unusual thing. It don't happen too often, but the causes is from shock. It's somebody that don't even know who they are. You find it from wars, sometime, soldiers get it. Sometimes people get it. Another thing causes it, is worry. Worry will cause it.

162 A French soldier. I was told a little story; before we close. I didn't know it was even that late, and I got about ten pages of notes here left; get it some other time. Notice, a French soldier. They got a bunch of soldiers in from the army, and they had this amnesia. It's from shock, on the battle. And they had a program, and they--they called up and let people who had missing loved ones to call and see if they could identify these boys. No hope for them, maybe one or two, out of it, caught it. And then they took the rest of them, they was going to put them in a sanitarium, where they'd have to stay the rest of their life.
163 They was going up the hillside, train pulling; and they stopped at a station, let the boys get out and stretch their legs. And the guards got out on the hill, to watch them, because with amnesia, why, they--they had to watch them.
164 So they watched one young fellow there, he got out and begin to look around at that water tank, looked all around over the hill. He rubbed his face, and he studied. And he looked again, and he seen that water tank. He looked all around at the station, and he started walking. Instead of the guard stopping him, he followed him.
165 He went up over the hill, down a little path, turned to the right and went up over another little hill, and come to a little log cabin. He looked. Coming out on the porch, an old man with a cane in his hand, come out and throwed his arms around him. Said, "My son, I knowed you would return. They told me you were dead, but I knowed you would return." And the boy come to himself. His amnesia left him. He could identify who he was. He knowed that was his father.
166 Oh, soldier of the Cross, that's been shocked with so much training, so many shocks of denomination and creed, and things of the world, why don't you just step off for a few minutes and go to looking around at the Bible? Might wander around, and you might find yourself identified here in the Word, as a believer, one of these days. You might not know Him. You may come to yourself, like the prodigal son did, and find yourself. You might find your identification in the Words of God.
What brought healing to this solder’s shell shocked mind, what brought his right mind back to him again? – it was when he walked along familiar pathways, it was then that his mind began to recognise things, it began to came back to him of who he really was, he could then begin to identify himself and who his father was, and where he came from and where he was going – his mind began to heal.
***The message of this hour was sent by God to lead us down familiar pathways in the word, like the passages in the pyramid that was leading to the kings chamber, and that is what is bringing the mind of Christ into the body, connecting the two together again because the mind and the body are coming together in this hour (Christ and His Bride body), the revelation of who he is and who we are.
The headstone is coming onto the pyramid, the mind of Christ is coming into the bride of Christ, and the spiritual amnesia is leaving the body, the mind is being healed by the revelation of the opened book. The second Eve is recognising who she is in this hour…
