JOSHUA 1:1-2
1 ¶ Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,
2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
MARK 6:22-23
22 And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him (Notice that this was entertainment connected with visual and sensual pleasure – we can see the parallel with today), the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.
23 And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.
Jericho and the Two Hiding Places Pt.2
From last week we began to show how there were two people in Jericho (at the time that Jericho was under judgement just like this world is under judgement today) that hid things of what they both believed would bring advantage to them in life for their future blessing.
These two people were Rahab and Achan, and they were both believers in the message of the prophet that God had sent for that hour (Moses) – so if we are going to look for the Rahab and Achan characters to be lived out today, then we would have to look within the ranks of the believers of this hour who also believe in the prophet and the message that God has sent in this generation.
**So we want to make sure that we live out the Rahab part of the script and hide the word in our hearts and not the world.

MARK 6:22-42
22 And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee. (Herodias illegally married king Herod (this is Herod Antipas who was a Jew). Herod divorced his first wife Phasaelis to marry this Herodias and John the Baptist spoke out against it at the time.
Herodias was Herod’s half-brother’s Philip’s previous wife, and so this girl who danced before Herod is Herodias’s daughter from her first marriage – Salome. And her dancing so pleased Herod that he promised her up to half of his kingdom. **So if we will notice that Herod was in this false marriage with Herodias at the time of John the Baptist just as Ahab and Jezebel were in a false union at the time of Elijah, and as Herodias tried to kill John the Baptist we also see that Jezebel also tried to kill Elijah, so scriptural history repeats itself, and this is also repeating itself again in this end time age of this Elijah)
23 And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom. (This is a very big price offer for just one small dance – but notice that this promise was what actually forced Herod to do what he did against his own will to have John the Baptist killed.
***Remember that John the Baptist was the fore-runner to Christ, to introduce Christ for that day of his first coming, and we have also seen a fore-runner to Christ second coming for this day, and so this same history is paralleling and repeating itself again because we are also willing in this day to pay a big price for dance and entertainment)
24 And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.
Herodias got Herod to throw John the Baptise in prison because John had upset her by publicly speaking out about her sin – so this is the mother of the daughter who destroyed John, notice today that it wasn’t the Catholic church (the mother of the denominational harlot daughters) who directly rejected this end time Elijah that introduced Christ to us in this hour, it was the daughters, the denominations that were the ones who carried out that final rejection, but who is really behind it – “Mum” the mother of the daughters, the one who gave birth to the denominations – the Catholic church.
25 And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist. (Notice that it was the headship of the word that they wanted to remove and destroy)
26 And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her. (Popularity)
27 And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
28 And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother. (The daughter was just carrying out the orders of mum, but it is really mum in control. So when the denominations will finally come against us as a movement, we know that it is still just mum giving the orders from behind the scenes)
29 And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb. (So notice right at this point - the one who introduce Christ to the people is now dead, and so this parallels what we also read in Joshua “Moses my servant is dead” (Moses introduced the word for that day as John the Baptist introduced the word for his day) – so then we see that as soon and John the Baptist is dead there is immediately a gathering of the elect under the ministry of Christ who is a type of Joshua)
30 ¶ And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while (in other word, separate yourselves aside together): for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
32 And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.
33 And the people saw them departing, and many knew him (not all knew him, but many believers did), and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him. (The gathering of the people unto Him when? After Elijah is off the scene – and in this hour that is the people of the elect of this age being gathered to the revelation of the truth of the word which is Christ for this age)
34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. (So this is the ministry that we are under right now, it is the teaching ministry of Christ – and He is certainly teaching us many things)
35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: (things have gone on in the message for a long time passed what we ever would have thought they would, it seems like the day is also far spent in this age)
36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
37 He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes. (1100 taped sermons)
39 And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. (notice that they were gathered into groups – in other words, they were numbered in groups)
40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties. (These are like all the different message churches in their separate numbered groups just like Joshua had every man numbered in their tribes and groups back in the first exodus – we are just seeing the parallel in the second exodus of what took place in the first exodus and showing what is also taking place now in the third exodus)
41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
42 And they did all eat, and were filled.
Notice again that it was the humble ministry that were feeding the people, it was not by Jesus hand directly but by the hands of the servants that were his disciples, just like Elisha sent his servant with a message to the gentile Naaman, just like Joshua sent a couple of messengers to the gentile Rahab – on and on we can see this pattern in the bible because this is God’s way to test his people.
