The gods of the Philistines Pt.3
ISAIAH 44:14-17 (We read this last week)
14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it. (Industry – intentionally growing forests of specific trees for the purpose of manufacturing – then from manufacturing to energy production, then from energy production to food production, and then from food production to the worship of false gods, this is the same pattern of what we have seen in this last 200 years of human civilisation – this history is repeating itself in this age)
15 Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.
*Notice – efficient food production allows for the population to increase, and then from that to making gods and worshiping them, because when man solves the problem of meeting the needs of his body of shelter, and energy, and warmth, and food, then he turns to his spiritual needs of his desire to worship.
16 He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire: (Industry and manufacturing has made a way for softer living and for the comforts of life, so that now a man can focus his time on other things)
17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god (look at where all of this led him to), even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.
Notice - A god of his own creation that has come completely out of his own imagination.
The gods of the Philistines Pt.3
JUDGES 8:32-33
32 And Gideon the son of Joash died in a good old age, and was buried in the sepulchre of Joash his father, in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
33 And it came to pass, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel turned again, and went a whoring after Baalim, and made Baalberith their god. (Notice – as soon as the judge was dead, the people of God went after other gods – that is why in this day, Satan wants to kill the influence of the present day word in your life, because as soon as he can do that, then out of necessity of your human need for a god, you will replace the true God with a false god)
***So throughout the book of Judges, we see this same pattern repeat itself over and over again.
**God’s people cry for help, then God sends a judge and destroys their enemies and delivers them by the instrument of the judge that He sends, and then as long as the Judge is alive and they remain under that Judge, the people of God will serve and worship the true God, but as soon as the Judge dies, they almost immediately turn to the gods of the people of the cultures that surround them, and so they begin to serve and worship false gods that are made out of silver and gold, and the works of men’s hands , and then their enemies conquer them again and the cycle repeats itself – so this is showing us a human pattern – that you will worship a god.
PSALM 115:4-9
4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:
6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
8 They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them. (If a rock star is your idol of worship, then after a while you will become like them because you are changed into the image that you behold)
9 ¶ O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
**God made man to fellowship with other men of like faith, and to also fellowship with God. God never designed men to fellowship with dead idols.
JUDGES 2:11-13
11 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:
12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt (by an exodus prophet), and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
13 And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.
You forsake the LORD when you follow after other gods.
**When God created man, he design man with a desire to worship, and the object of man’s worship was to be his own maker of whom he could also fellowship with, and of where his God would also talk back to him.
But because this attribute to worship would be so strong within him, that there would be a risk of man turning that worship toward other things, so then we find that in the very first of the 10 commandments, God is commanding man not to have other gods of worship before Him.
EXODUS 20:3-6
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Man wants relationship with God, and so if he doesn’t know the true God of his creator, then he will make up a god of his own imagination to fellowship with and to worship)
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Last week we talked about AI relationships, of how people are becoming addicted and even falling in love with these online chatbots, and in return the chatbots are declaring their love for their human correspondents – this shows us the level of the power of deception, because the people that use these chatbots for relationship know full well that they are not real, but yet they still want to pursue these relationships and even become emotionally attached to these dead manmade machines and gods of man’s creation.
**So what we are really dealing with in this end time age, is that man is desiring to satisfy his need for deeper and more spiritual connections of relationships.
That is why in these last days (since the opening of the seven seals), the message of the hour has given us access back to the same relationship with God that Adam had at the beginning.
**We are living in an age where there is a great contest that is going on between God and Satan. Satan is in competition with God in this relationship race with man, and so this is what Satan is fighting for in this age, for himself to become the god of this age that takes the place man’s relationship with the true God.
**So from last week we saw how that Satan is right now in the third pull phase of his ministry of the revealing of himself to the people in order for them to come into a union and a oneness of relationship with him.
**He wants to take up his abode in the heart of man (of where God was design to live), so that he can lead and guide man, and be worshiped by man as God – in other words, he wants to take God’s place in this age by changing his mask from an unseen spirit into revealing himself in a body of a people called his bride (Mr. and Mrs. Lucifer), just as God is also going to achieve this with His subjects in this age.
Both God and Satan are being revealed in the people of these last days.

35 And--and Dr. Scofield here, we find that, his word, changing from "form." We find the word en morphe, in Greek, which means "the unseen was made visible." Something that cannot... We know it's there. It can be... cannot be seen, but yet we know that it's there. And when He changed His form, of the en morphe, which mean that He changed from supernatural to natural.
God en-morphe in this day is the process of God changing His form from being expressed in one man (Jesus Christ), to God being expressed in a many-membered body of his bride body on earth.

From a little group of the true seed of the Word, God will present Christ with a beloved bride. She is a virgin of His Word. She is a virgin because she knows no man-made creeds or dogmas. By and through the members of the bride will be fulfilled all that was promised of God to be made manifest in the virgin.
This is why it takes the Holy Spirit of the inside teacher to lead us and guide us into all of the truth for this day.
We have been taught by a prophet that the genuine Holy Spirit falling and anointing your spirit in an emotion is of a different category of the baptism of the Holy Spirit to the inner teaching leading you and guiding you into all truth.
**The revealed word for your age is to be a lamp unto your feet, and so as you walk in the light you will see more word unfold – that is the fellowship that Adam had with God, and then the blood cleanseth us and brings us into deeper and more intimate fellowship with God so that He can whisper the secrets of Himself from the back part of His mind into the back part of your mind.

397 But God's great mystery, what the Eternal God had as a mystery, has now been unfolded in Jesus Christ, then given right down to His Church. What was once in God's mind is now in the Body of Christ. Jesus making love to the Church, His Bride, whispering secrets to Her.
398 You know how you tell your wife things, you know, the little girl you're going to marry. You love her so much, you just tell her the secrets, and get her up next to you, and love you and everything. You know how it is.
399 That's what God, Christ, is doing to the Church. See? He is letting Her know the secrets, just the secrets. Not these flirters; I mean His Wife.
GOD'S.CHOSEN.PLACE.OF.WORSHIP_ JEFF.IN V-5 N-7 SATURDAY_ 65-0220
(Remember – God’s only provided place of worship is from when a person is in the revelation of the word for their age, because that is the only true Christ in your day. “I will come to you” said Jesus, and He is the word for the season, so He comes to you in the form of the revealed word of God made known for the season you live in – and this is where you are to fellowship with this living God)
90 God had a certain place He met--He met Abraham, and there Abraham worshiped. All down through the Testament!
And His promised Word will be interpreted in you, by Him. Did you get that? The Word that He promised to fulfill in the day that you're living in, you will be a written epistle of God, read of all man. Not what you claim, but what God does through you, will speak out louder than anything you could claim.
In other words – God will write the story of Ruth into your life supernaturally, and that is why you have met the head reaper in this harvest time in your day, and that head reaper has introduced you to Boaz, and like Rebekah you have been following a man all these years in order for you to meet your unseen bridegroom.
**All of the types in the bible that hold the secrets of the end time bride, God has been interpreting them all in your life and you have become a written epistle.
JUDGES 8:30-35
30 And Gideon had threescore and ten sons of his body begotten: for he had many wives. (If we are to see Christ in every verse, then Gideon here represents Christ, because Christ also has a many membered bride of seven Church Ages)
31 And his concubine that was in Shechem, she also bare him a son, whose name he called Abimelech. (This was not a wife, but a concubine – so the scripture is meaning for us to notice the difference of this other son of Gideon (Abimelech) by his concubine)
32 And Gideon the son of Joash died in a good old age, and was buried in the sepulchre of Joash his father, in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
33 And it came to pass, as soon as Gideon was dead (notice – 40 years after God has sent a prophet to Israel, just like we in this day are past the 40 year mark of God sending a prophet to this generation – so we see that this story holds a secret for this hour), that the children of Israel turned again, and went a whoring after Baalim, and made Baalberith their god. (Baal-berith = "lord of the covenant" He was a god of the Philistines.
We know that Revelation 10:1 is the angel of the covenant (Christ Himself – the Lord of lords) that descended to the bride of this last age by the shout of the message of the hour.
So this Baalberith (lord of the covenant) is a direct impersonation of Satan himself trying to take the place of Christ in this age of being lord in the hearts of the people. So here are your two trees again in this age of what was in Eden at the beginning, and being that it’s harvest time, both of these trees have plenty of fruit (teaching) on them that all can freely feed upon.
*Remember that harvest time is the time of ripened fruit – the one tree (Christ) is bearing the ripened fruit of the revelation of the word of this hour, and the other tree (Satan) is bearing the ripened fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.
**So when we look back to the time of the Judges, we notice that the only way that Israel could have learnt about these gods of the Philistines and gone “a whoring” after them, was because of the influence of being among the Philistine culture, and by mixing with the people of that culture (and remember that this word “a whoring” that the bible uses here is connected to the illicit union of a woman receiving seed that is unlawful), and so Israel became interested and attracted to this kind of worship because it was more appealing as it was easier and more in alignment to the tendencies of the carnal flesh.
**That is why that in this age it is easier for people to do things that entertain then to study the word of God and to listen to a prophet’s voice – but we have been commanded to “eat the book” of the revealed truth of this hour – take the word into your spirit so that that word literally comes on the inside of you.
**These Philistines could sleep in on Sunday mornings, followed by Sunday lunch, and then a nice afternoon walk in the sun - they didn’t have to hear the preacher tell them about their sins of their sensual pleasures.
And so then they could enjoy the pleasures of whatever sins they preferred with a clear conscience, because their gods were the gods of pleasures and prosperity and fertility, and so this idea of gods that aligned themselves to the fleshly attractions of their worshipers became a snare to Israel.
**We know that when Israel went “a whoring” after the gods of the Philistines, that this is to do with false union, in other words these god’s were attractive to the people of the true God because their false worship was associated with the ease of the pleasures of the flesh.
*So the fact is that when a person is born again in their soul by the revelation of the word for their day, the problem with that is that their flesh isn’t born again at the same time, it still remains the same old flesh. The change of your body will take place at the last trump, and then that will deal with all the bad chemistry that is associated with your earthly body because it will all be gone from that moment on (thank the Lord).
*But while we remain in this body, we are told by a prophet that it will give us problems, and so even though we have the Holy Ghost in our souls by the abiding revelation of the word of this hour, we can’t deny that we can still be attracted to fleshly comforts.
**So when we connect this human problem to the world that we are living in in this end time age, then there is a conflict, because Satan has purposely overwhelmed this world with many fleshly enchantments.
You just have to look at all these modern gods of rock stars and movie stars and you will see that their worship is associated with pleasures, and even sensual pleasures. So the god of this evil age (who is Satan himself) has associated the worship of himself with the attractiveness of the fallen human flesh of a life of ease and comforts and sensual delights)
34 And the children of Israel remembered not the LORD their God, who had delivered them out of the hands of all their enemies on every side:
35 Neither shewed they kindness to the house of Jerubbaal, namely, Gideon, according to all the goodness which he had shewed unto Israel.
**Look at their lack of respect toward the ministry that God had sent them in that hour after that God had sent a prophet to them at the time when three powers had gathered together – these people had owned their lives to this man that God had sent them, yet they soon forgot about it and turned after the gods of the Philistines.
JUDGES 9:1-6 (So these following events is now after Gideon had been the judged of Israel for 40 years)
1 ¶ And Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal (Jerubbaal was the name given to Gideon by his father when he destroyed the altar of Baal) went to Shechem unto his mother's brethren, and communed with them, and with all the family of the house of his mother's father, saying,
2 Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Whether is better for you, either that all the sons of Jerubbaal, which are threescore and ten persons, reign over you, or that one reign over you? remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.
3 And his mother's brethren spake of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem all these words: and their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech; for they said, He is our brother.
4 And they gave him threescore and ten pieces of silver out of the house of Baalberith, (He was being financed from within the house of one of the Philistine gods – these houses of the gods had plenty of money in them. Where do they get the finance from to promote all their perversion and gods in this day? It comes from within the houses of where these gods are worshiped. The house of the gods of the sports stadiums, and the Hollywood temples of their entertainment industries of worship – you can’t deny that people don’t worship sports stars and movie stars and pop singing stars) wherewith Abimelech hired vain and light persons, which followed him. (Notice how Abimelech used this finance to buy him the power to pay vain people to help him carry out the murders of his brothers)
5 And he went unto his father's house at Ophrah, and slew his brethren the sons of Jerubbaal, being threescore and ten persons, upon one stone: (The meaning here of “Upon one stone” = Like on a single altar on which the victims were executed one after another as if they were sacrificial victims – this is how the devil wants to destroy every person that is opposed to his tyrannical ways of him being the god of this evil age – he wants to kill everything and every influence that is a threat to him in this age) notwithstanding yet Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left; for he hid himself.
6 And all the men of Shechem gathered together, and all the house of Millo, and went, and made Abimelech king, by the plain of the pillar that was in Shechem.
Satan’s desire is to destroy all the sons of God one by one in this age, and to set himself up as the king and the god of this evil age – but God will make sure that there will those who are spared to pronounce judgement upon Abimelech.
JUDGES 10:1-8
1 ¶ And after Abimelech there arose to defend Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir in mount Ephraim.
2 And he judged Israel twenty and three years, and died, and was buried in Shamir.
3 And after him arose Jair, a Gileadite, and judged Israel twenty and two years.
4 And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had thirty cities, which are called Havothjair unto this day, which are in the land of Gilead.
5 And Jair died, and was buried in Camon.
6 ¶ And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth (Ashtaroth or “Astarte” in Greek was the female God of fertility and sensual love), and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him.
7 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.
8 And that year they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel: eighteen years, all the children of Israel that were on the other side Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
**Notice how that after each judge passes off the scene, then Israel succumbs again under the influence of National peer pressure – then they submit themselves under another headship that will rule and “lord” it over them. It is the influence of their environment that they are deceived and overcome by – and that is why we need the judge to be with us in this hour, because you cannot stand in this age unless the Judge is alive.
So this worship of Baal and Ashtaroth of these surrounding nations involved the temptation of illicit participation of ritual prostitution. We see this in the account of Baalpeor, when the men began to indulge in sexual immorality with the Moabite women”
NUMBERS 25:1-9
1 ¶ And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
2 And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
3 And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.
4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
5 And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.
6 ¶ And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
8 And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
9 And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
When we read of Samson, we see what his downfall was - how that he was tempted and involved in false union with Philistine woman. Look how those same Philistine spirits are manifesting themselves in the same way in this age – so we are living among these same Philistine anointed women again in this day. That is why that everywhere you look, there are Philistine woman ready to tempt Samson again in this age.
Look at Jezebel at the time of Elijah – a woman that painted her face to look beautiful.
**So all those spirits that were in those past ages have all accumulated here in this last age. And so Baal and Astarte are here today also. And all these gods are connected to worship and temples that involves pleasures and sensual delights.
**This is why we need to be under the judge of all the earth that has come down and is present and alive with us in this hour – He is the mighty angel of Revelation 10:1 – the true LORD of the covenant, and so he is the living judge that is present with us in this age and that we are to remain under the protection of this judge, because He is our standard against the culture of this evil age that we are surrounded by.
Remember that in this last age, you will be under one of these two Lords of the covenant. Christ or Baalberith.
**Look at all the slaughter that has taken place of the sons of Gideon in this hour by half-brothers of people who have left this message and are trying to make themselves kings over God’s people, and who are gathering vain men around them, and who are one by one killing the influence of the true sons of the message of the hour so that they will have no voice to speak and rule any more.
But then look at how God saved just a small group that would prophecy judgement on this false group.
So all these things are being lived out and interpreted by all the people of the world of this last age.
The gods of the Philistines who existed in the time of the Judges are back here again in their full strength and influence in this last age, and the people of this age are blindly worshiping them, and they are becoming one with these gods – but then there is also a people that have remained under the leadership of the Judge of all the earth who has descended in this hour – the true LORD of the covenant, and they are also becoming one with their God – God changing his form into a many member body of people for the final act of victory.
