The Healing of the Soul Pt.2
PSALM 107:1-21
1 ¶ O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; (Notice - He has redeemed you, and redemption is when you purchase back something of what you lost that you once owned at the beginning)
3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. (This scripture is compound in that it is also showing us a prophecy for this day)
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. (This wandering is symbolic for all of our lives – because we are all looking for a permanent city of where the lamb is the light)
5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. (This word “fainted” means to grow weak and feeble – a weak soul)
6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. (Look at all these words that the psalmist is connecting to describe the condition of a man’s soul – a hungry soul, a thirsty soul, a fainting soul, and a longing soul. That sounds like a soul that is in need of restoration and of healing – but then He satisfies the longing and hungry soul)
10 ¶ Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; (Our earthly journey of this life is like a prison house)
11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High: (All these conditions of a man’s soul is the result of man’s rebellious heart against the words and thoughts of God – in other words, the very essences and character of man’s soul is by nature in disagreement with the thoughts of God)
12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
13 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder. (Even though man is in this condition of disagreement with God, when they cried unto the LORD, He is so tender hearted and mercifully and so willing to help them, that He supernaturally brings them out of their distresses)
15 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
16 For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
17 ¶ Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
18 Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death. (in other words, because they were so near to the point of death, they couldn’t even stand the thought of food)
19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. (this word “distresses” refers to the word “straits” = a narrow and often rough portion of sea between two points of land)
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
21 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
The Healing of the Soul Pt.2
**Sickness of the soul first became a disease of the human race when the first human being chose to disbelieve the word of God and exchanged the leadership of the word for the reasoning of the intellect of the human mind.
*And so from that time on, instead of a man being led by the nature of God that would cause him to be led by a source of divine guidance from within his soul, he has separated himself from that leadership and is left to do the best that he can by trying to guide himself by the intellect of his own human power of reasoning.
*And so for the past 6000 years, we have seen the distress and the disasters, and the pain and sorrow and the death that has followed in the wake of when man is left to try to lead himself without this nature of God dwelling within his soul.
Recap a little…
*Last week we spoke about the woman at the well, and how that her life had been so messed up with all these broken relationships and so forth, but then Jesus gave her a drink of water that had brought healing to her soul, and we found out that that water was the revelation of Himself revealed to her of who he was for that hour – “I am he that speaks with thee”.
And so the water of life that quenches a man’s soul is the revealing of Christ for the day in which you are living in – and Christ is the word, and so it is when you can recognize the truth for your day just as this woman at the well recognized that Jesus was the word promised for her day. (“what is the new birth brother Branham?" It is the revelation of Jesus Christ personally to you for your day.”)
*There are three realms of where God provides healing for a person.
*First, the body realm, and then the spirit realm (of which is the realm of the thoughts of our minds), and then there is the soul realm of man of which the soul is the very nature of where the motivation of our conscious thoughts originates from. Our soul is what gives us the ability to believe or doubt the word of God.
And so our soul is the very center of our character of which is connected to either faith or doubt in the word of God. The SOUL that SINS (disbelieves the word of God) shall die because it is cannot be joined to God while it is in disagreement with Him – and separation from God is the definition of death.
*And in the beginning, man’s soul was the very nature of God Himself, but when man’s soul began to doubt and to disagree with the word of God because of the reasoning of his mind, then man’s nature became separated from the nature of God of what used to be the control tower of his life, and so the soul of man fell away from the condition and the state of what it originally was meant to be, and so in effect, man’s soul was in dire need of healing because it had fallen away from the health of what it had once been – and so the soul of man had become sick.
*And so for 6000 years, man’s soul has been in need of healing, and the healing of the soul can only come by the restoration and revelation of the person of the word – of the revelation of the word of truth restored back again into the human heart.
PSALM 107:20a
20 He sent his word, and healed them,
**And so in these last days, what was sealed up of the truth of what God had purposely kept secret until the ministry of the seventh angel, has now been made known to us in this last generation – IT IS the rising of the SON light of the words of eternal life - He has sent His word (what for?) to bring a full restoration of healing back to the soul of man.
*The first pull dealt with the healing of the body.
*The second pull dealt with the revealing of the secrets of the hearts of the spirit realm of man’s thoughts.
***But the third pull was the opening of the word of the revealing of Christ Himself, just like we saw with the women at the well of which God would cause the opening of the word of the revealing of Himself to deal with the healing of her soul.

44 …God heals by love. God heals by prayer. God heals by miracles. God heals by His Word. God heals! Whatever source it is, God heals by it. It's God that heals, for He said, "I'm the Lord that healeth all thy diseases."
*In the beginning, God made us to always live in the perfection of perfect and complete health of the body, spirit and soul.
But then sickness entered into man by the way of sin of when man’s soul first began to disbelieve the word of God.
*Eve failed (along with all humanity) when she began to be led and governed by the reasoning ability of the thoughts of her own mind that was contrary to the word of God.
*And so that is why that the healing of the soul can only come by restoration of the word of the truth of the thoughts of God being established back within the heart of man again.
JOHN 4:14
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. (The word will keep unfolding to you from within you like a well springing up)
*In the beginning, God designed the human soul to be in the exact image of His own divine nature.
We showed last week of how that in the creation of the world, that God was slowly letting out the mystery of Himself in nature as he brought each specie of the animal kingdom into existence.
When he created a lion, He was showing a portion of who He was of His great nature in the character of the lion. And then He would show another aspect of His great nature of how that He was like an Ox in the way that an Ox can pull a heavy load. And then he revealed how that He was also a prophet in the characteristics of the eagle, (we have preached on these things many times).
*** And so this is why it takes thousands of species to show the one great character and nature of the one great God.
**But when it came to man, all of the entire nature of God was to be reflected in and through man, because man was the full mystery revealed of all of the secrets of what God had been unfolding throughout all the animal kingdom. Man was to be the full reflection of the nature of God, and this is why God is looking to see the attributes of Himself being reflected through your life, and so this explains why that he has to keep beating on the gold until he can eventually see the image of His own character reflecting back at Him.
**It was this nature of God that Adam and Eve fell away from in Eden. They fell from having God’s character and nature dwelling in them to a nature that had fallen away from the perfection of its original condition - a nature that had developed a sickness, and so they were in need of the healing of their souls.
*And so ever since the fall in Eden, mankind has been plagued with a character that is in need of healing in order for it to be restored back to its original state of full health.
**And so this paints us a picture of the perfection of what God has ordained for the restoration and healing of the soul and for the purpose of your life here on earth and of what your end is to be, because your origin reveals your destiny – in other words, where you came from (of what God intended for you to be at the beginning) is what the redemptive price was paid for by Christ in order to bring you back to that place of perfection again – that is what God’s great plan of redemption was all about.
***And so because we fell from this perfect nature of the character of God dwelling inside of us (of which His great nature was once the control tower of all of our thoughts), then we know that God (by his grace) has made a way for us to go back into that original state again - like the little dew drop that goes back to where it came from in the beginning.

E-27 You notice of a morning when the--the dew... I've watched it many times, when I see the dew fall at night time. Look out there, see the dew fall. And every time when the sun comes up, did you ever notice how happy a little dew drop was? He just sparkles and shines, and sparkles and shines. I was asking one, one morning, talking to nature, which is--was my first Bible. I said, "What makes you sparkle, little dew drop?"
And it seemed like that something in a way spoke back to me, said, "You know last night, I was up there. And I'm--I know I'm going up again, for I belong up there, way beyond this old hot earth, up there where the--the moisture stays. And I was once up there, and I'm happy because the suns a shining on me, and when the sun shines on me, it's making--it'll draw me right up to where I was."
The shining sun is the proof that the dew drop will soon return to where it came from - that was the revelation that the dew drop held within its heart.
*And that is how we can know for sure that we are soon to go back to where we came from also, because of the shining of the SON light that has risen in these last days.
EPHESIANS 1:9
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
The mystery of His will is to heal your wounded and broken spirit from everything of what this earthly journey has scared you up with. He has sent His word to us in these last days in order to bring a healing to our souls - to restore the character of Himself back into the soul of man through the revealing of himself by the word of this hour.
*And so we want to look at this subject of “The Healing of the Soul” in the light of the scriptures and the message of this hour, because when we are talking about the healing of your soul, it is connected to the restoration of what God meant for you to be in the great plan of His original thoughts.
*And this end time message is what has made a way for the reality of what Adam fell from in Eden to be restored back to the Human race again.
We read in Malachi 4 that there would be an end time ministry would come with healing in his wings.
MALACHI 4:1-2
1 ¶ For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. (leaving no root or branch means to be completely eradicated – it is done away in such a complete way so that it cannot spring back up again from a bit of left over root)
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings (that’s the revelation of the New and Old Testament of the opening of the word that we have been witnesses to in these last days); and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. (Calves of the stall refers to a people in the end time who will be well fed, like calves of a stall.
A people in the last days that will have access to a seven-course meal)
*This word “healing” in the Hebrew is the word marpe' {mar-pay'} which is not just the healing of the body, but also refers to the restoration of a sound mind, because when man’s soul fell from the nature of God, man’s thoughts also fell from soundness to a form of sickness.
*It also refers to the idea of prosperity, like a land that is not prosperous, but is then healed and brings forth great blessing and prosperity to its inhabitants.
**And so healing from God is not just restricted to the physical body, but it also applies to many other areas of life such as relationships that need healing, and a lack of resources that need healing, and then the human spirit and the human soul that is also in need of healing.
2 “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings”
JEREMIAH 29:11
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Amplified Bible
For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
In other words, God has a great purposed for each of us of a future blessing of which He can never forget about concerning us, just like He couldn’t forget about the children of Israel who had been in exile and captivity for 70 years. *And so this is why that for 70 years of our lives, we have also been in captivity upon the earth along with all the distress that goes along with that. Like the saying goes, that there are two certain things in life – taxes and death.
